Our speeches on Artificial Intelligence
From April 30th to May 2nd, One-Off America participated with great enthusiasm in the ET’ FOUNDATION fair in Orlando, Florida, dedicated to the aluminum extrusion seminar. This event was a crucial opportunity for our team to present our mission and the innovative solutions we offer. It was an intense and engaging time for all of us.
During the second day of the ET fair, on May 1st, professor Marco Tarabini, from One-Off Innovation, gave 2 speeches on artificial intelligence. Today we are here to share with you the topics of the two speeches;
here’s the breakdown:
1. The first speech focused on the adoption of a camera inside the furnace for the identification of the aluminum level and for the detection of the aluminothermic reaction. Explaining how our new camera was integrated into three production systems, capturing continuous video, professor Tarabini detailed how camera calibration and a 3D furnace model enabled real-time aluminum level monitoring. He also described the machine-vision algorithms to identify aluminothermic flames using image processing techniques. This system not only monitored furnace conditions but also provided feedback control to auxiliary machines like loaders, skimming machines, and stirrers.
2. The second speech introduced a novel architecture for condition-based maintenance of aluminum extrusion hydraulic circuits. Professor Tarabini outlined how the proposed system gathered valve temperatures, current absorption, and vibrations to detect malfunctions and forecast their remaining useful life. Built on edge computing principles, the architecture uses machine learning algorithms to classify the health state of the valve. The remaining useful life is estimated via particle filter and Monte Carlo simulations.
